It’s that time of year again folks, when we start reminiscing on the past year, our accomplishments, our shortcomings, and inevitably the resolutions we made in the beginning of the year. With just a few days of the year left, we still have time to set our goals for the upcoming year.
So for those of us that aren’t exactly sure of what goals we want, or didn’t have much success with last year’s resolutions, let’s try these 3 simple ideas! If we commit to them they can totally change our lives!
#1 Find a Hobby that MAKES YOU MONEY, HONEY!
If you are going to add a new hobby? Why not use it to help fatten up those pockets?! Not only will you be starting something new (which is resolution worthy already) you will also be improving your finances, earning potential and on the path to gaining financial freedom! If this sounds like a Two-fer, IT IS!!
Examples Include : Starting an etsy shop, selling your art, blog about a hobby, sell a service…
#2 Find an Activity that KEEPS YOU IN SHAPE!!
We are all trying to bring sexy back in 2018. So why not make an activity a resolution? Keeps you fit and active while providing you hours of enjoyment! This one also helps you keep your stress levels, and daily steps in check!
Don’t have an activity in mind? Sign up for as many intro, bootcamp, beginners sessions for a whole bunch of different activities and learn through trial and error what works for you! You can even check out team sports leagues in your area and make this social too! Dodgeball DOES count!
#3 Find a way to PRACTICE YOUR CREATIVITY!
Don’t even think of saying you don’t have a creative bone in your body. Okay, well maybe you are right, you don’t have a creative bone in your body, BUT you do have one hemisphere of your brain that is! So get to flexing and start using that mind power and imagination!
Need ideas? Try those great Paint and Wine night groupons you see everywhere, or pottery, or music lessons, writing. Need more inspiration? Check out a local campus for some creative classes and join one. Photography works too, but unfortunately mastering the art of selfie’s doesn’t!
Still worried about your success rate? Here are some tips to help:
- Keep your expectations realistic.
- Try to declutter your life, so you can focus on these and what’s important.
- BELIEVE IN YOURSELF!
- Enjoy the process.
- Celebrate your wins (regardless of how small).
- Don’t forget it’s a marathon, not a sprint!
- Gather up that support, the more the merrier!
- Try and Try AGAIN!
- TRACK YOUR PROGRESS!!
